Saturday 15th October 2005- The Home-coming
The Maiden Voyage.
Sadly it was extremely foggy at 0730 and although worried we were able to see enough to motor “home” to Emsworth but not good enough to sail even though the wind was good.
There was a bit of a sea! We finally managed a short “test” sail just off West Pole before motoring into Emsworth.
Of course by now the sun was out, and the rest of the day was like summer. We were welcomed by Dick and Alice with Champagne, and of course the entire afternoon became a celebration party!
Vic & Brenda turned up, APB and even Tony Browne appeared – here are some of the shots!
The evening was the Laying Up Supper, so we all walked into town, and of course we stayed on board!
